Chios Energy Healing is the product of many years of discovery and refinement. Often I am asked how this healing art was created.

   It did not seem to be by my own design—on the surface—in fact, far from it. In 1990 (when I was in my early 30's), I had already been practicing meditation for a number of years and had developed a general (yet serious) interest in spiritual healing. As the result of a working relationship I developed "by coincidence" with an extremely gifted and clear deep trance channeler, I began to receive high-quality channeled information from a network of guides that claimed to have important information for me (one guide, in particular, was the "spokeperson" for the group, and who spoke through the channeler). I was skeptical at first, but these guides, speaking through the channeler, knew things about me no living person knew, and I became convinced of the complete veracity of their communications. They gave me profound information about my spiritual growth, about past lives I had had (including as a healer), and encouraged me to begin the study of energy healing. They also began to provide a great deal of information that was interesting and which included breakthrough techniques in energy healing work. The guides encouraged me to experiment with and refine the techniques they provided.

   So began the conversation and path of study which would lead to the creation of Chios. I kept careful records of the information and techniques the guides provided, practiced energy healing on many patients and then sought to refine the techniques and assemble them into a unified, cohesive energy healing art. There was often the temptation to introduce complexities or incorporate belief systems into the practice, but over the long-term I realized that simple, close to the essence and fundamental techniques were both the heart of, and the most powerful form of, this kind of healing. That is what makes it so consciousness-expanding to practice and so powerful in application. The Chios Master techniques, including Chakra Charging, Chakra System Rebalancing, Radiatory Healing and Seventh-Layer Healing are examples of the breakthrough techniques developed during this time. Treatment techniques for patients with serious illnesses was an important priority, as the work expanded, as was the creation of an integral system of meditation, for the healer. The healing art which finally emerged I called Chios (pronounced Chee’-ohss), a word from my first past life as a healer (in the ancient civilization of Bactria) and which has a rich meaning: It refers to the great life principle (present in all life), the upward growth of all life towards the light and enlightenment, the struggle of the spiritual process—all of these things.

   After developing Chios healing, I was encouraged to put it out to the world. The Guides explained that this contact and information was intentionally brought to me so that I could give shape to this knowledge and provide it to all. They indicated that energy healing will become popular, and is important to the future of evolving humanity. I wrote a series of instructional manuals on the techniques (from which this website is derived), and began teaching healing classes in Northern California. The Chios attunements (which open up the healing student’s energy, color and light channeling abilities) were then provided directly by the guides; on a predetermined date and time (at the New Moon near the Autumnal Equinox of 1995), the Guides came into the channeler’s body, to give me the Master attunement that made me the first Master Teacher of Chios. The guides also provided detailed instructions on how to give the Chios healing attunements to others. That same Master Attunement and those same attunement instructions are now given to all new Chios Master Teachers.

   The Chios Healing website was born several years later, and is the result of my decision to make the Chios information freely available to all, throughout the world, without making it a commercial commodity, so it may be easily accessed and used by everyone. Unfortunately, the present-day healing world is polluted with greed, commercialism and with the great noise that the many distorted ego-creations of the human mind have superimposed upon what should be a pure message from spirit. Chios contains pure and authentic techniques and information, directly from spirit. The Chios information and techniques are given freely, in the hope that they will inspire and assist you, in your own growth, and enable you to heal others.

  Even after over twelve years practicing Chios myself, I still experience wonder and a sense of awe at the purity and power of the Chios healing and meditation techniques. To be involved in the development of Chios has, for me, enabled me to go far beyond what I previously considered to be myself, and into a greater spiritual reality. It has been an encounter with truth and an entry into universality. I hope that by learning and practicing Chios—the energy healing art of the 21st century—you will receive the same benefits.
